Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
This is a old timber framed cottage, with downstairs bathroom extension. The furnishings are comfortable but not modern. It is situated down a quiet country lane and is very secluded but not isolated. The garden is mostly lawn with scattered fruit trees which provide some shade in summer. We have a gardener who mows the lawn once a week. Oil fired central heating and woodburner. The cottage was originally a farm workers cottage with 6 children living there.

The space
My husband and I moved to Herefordshire when he retired and now manage the cottage for holiday lets. We live about 8 miles away so can readily attend to changeovers and deal with any problems. Cot and high chair available.
Although the cottage is on a quiet lane, it is close to several highways, and you can travel north, south, east and west with ease, without having to retrace your steps.

Where you’ll be

Herefordshire, England, United Kingdom

This is in a quiet hamlet with few facilities, but there are shops in the neighbouring villages. The National Trust properties of Croft Castle and Berrington Hall are within easy driving distance. Ludlow and Leominster are the nearest towns, and the renowned book town of Hay-on-Wye is within easy reach. There is fine dining at The Riverside Inn at Aymestry and the Stagg Inn (Michelin star) at Titley. The countryside around is beautiful, with long distance walks such as the Mortimer Way which crosses Bircher Common, and the Offas Dyke long distance path.
