The space

Behind the main lodge are 5 small 12x14 log cabins with electric, heat, and small private deck overlooking Bear Creek. Cabin #5 is pet friendly. Please see our other cabins if you don't have a pet.See 'other things to note' for details. Our property is heavily forested and surrounded by the sound of Bear Creek. The 5 cabins are small and rustic and similar in design. They do not have their own bathrooms but instead share two bathrooms in the main lodge located behind or next to your cabin.

We live in a tiny town of about 150 people in southcentral Alaska that sees a lot of summertime visitors. I own a small espresso stand (Grounds for Hope) and co-own Discovery Cabins with my husband Jamey. Jamey is a bartender at our local bar and an avid beer brewer. We have one daughter who is eight and a kitty of unknown age. We, minus the kitty, love to hike and bike in and around our little town of Hope. In the fall we like to spend some time in the desert southwest to do a bit more of the same.
