Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
A self contained self catering apartment, part of a family run B&B close to the town centre, with its own fully equipped kitchen. There is an integral shower and toilet. The bedroom has an orthopeadic double bed and a pair of bunk beds. Tea, coffee, milk, towels and bedding are provided, as well as Freesat TV, Amazon Firestick and WIFI.

The Annex has its own dedicated back garden which is secure and separate from the main area. Buffet breakfast available as an extra.

The space
The town of Knighton and the surrounding area has several public houses that provide meals, and several cafes are open during the day. In addition there is an Indian restaurant, a Chinese Takeaway, a chip shop and a burger bar. These are all less than 5 minutes walk away from the accommodation. Guests have their own separate entrance to the annex.

The annex was designed with groups of up to 4 walkers in mind. If you are doing one of the popular walks like Offa's Dyke or the Heart of Wales Railway Path, we are available to help with transfers to and from places like Kington or Montgomery, for a modest fee. This allows you to book our accommodation for up to 3 consecutive nights while still making progress on foot. For example, we can collect you from Kington and bring you to the accommodation, then return you to Kington the following morning. You then walk the Offa's Dyke Path up to Knighton for a second night at the annex. On the third day you can walk to Montgomery and we will then shuttle you back to the accommodation for a third night, before delivering your party back at Montgomery for your onward journey.

Guest access
The space is a fully self contained lounge/kitchen diner with shower room and the upstairs bedroom sleeps four adults. We have designed the accommodation to suit people on a walking or cycling holiday, or perhaps a family of four looking to spend time in the area. Secure lockable bike storage is provided. The kitchen is designed and kitted out to a high specification allowing people to cater for themselves, but we recommend that guests try some of the local hostelries whilst visiting. There is a launderette close by, and we provide clean linen and towels as standard.

Other things to note
We have designed the space to be self catering, but a self serve breakfast of cereals, toast, tea and coffee can be provided for a modest extra charge upon request.

The accommodation is in a quiet backwater of the town, close to the local church and church hall. It is a short walk to the town centre, or down to the River Teme where you can join the Offas Dyke path. Knighton's Welsh name is Tref-Y-Clawdd, which means "town on the dyke".

I am a semi retired former IT Professional, now running a family owned property business comprising domestic lets, a two room B&B and our holiday annex. I live with my wife Jane and teenaged son Joey, and our 4 dogs Lola, Lotta, Storm and Chibi San. We currently don't go on holidays, because Knighton is such a beautiful place to live that it is like being on holiday every day of the year. Our guests are very welcome, and we are always on hand if help is required, but we generally keep a low profile and let our guests get on with whatever they want to do. We try to enjoy life and get on with everyone. Our motto is to be grateful for the lives that we have and live every day as if it was our last.
