Moonstone Manor, a 1930’s historic two bedroom retreat was completely renovated by an interior designer to reflect the charm and spirit of the “city family’s” summer home. On a choice acre of woodland property at the base of Laurel Mountain, furnished in a bohemian, rustic style where color richness, well-worn pieces and indulging in comfort is paramount. Choose Moonstone Manor because you want your vacation to be an experience ~ "casual elegance" distinct from everyday living.

The space
Winter solitude. Space to walk. Space to breathe. The 1930s restored farmhouse is located on a choice acre of woodland property at the base of Laurel Mountain.

A towering 2 story, stone fireplace adds ambiance to this comforting, peaceful retreat. Kitchen cabinets are topped with sleek zinc countertops and butcher block ……retro meets metro in this full kitchen. The downstairs bathroom with walk-in shower is spa-like with contemporary flourishes. Woodsy quiet will lull you to sleep on one of the two comfy queen beds upstairs with a convenient powder bath. Moonstone Manor--perfect for two couples wanting to share a weekend getaway or a small family retreat.

WINTER: Nearby, ski resorts invite skiers, snowboarders, and tubing. Watch as the giant hemlocks turn into a winter wonderland or drive up Laurel Mountain to ski. FALL: Hunt on the property for wild edible mushrooms, or sit back and enjoy the mountain tree colors. Metal detecting on the roughly 100-year old farmhouse grounds is likely to give up its hidden treasures. SUMMER: Take a walk across the street and stick your feet into the mountain stream, maybe do some fly fishing. ANYTIME: Pick any of the three porches and decompress on the vintage wicker chairs, the cushioned lounge chairs or the Adirondacks reading a book and wait for the deer to visit. Just relax and rejuvenate with nature as your backdrop.

Moonstone Manor is a place of magic so anytime enjoy an evening cocktail, a sunrise breakfast, moonlight, sunshine or rain. And don’t worry about dirty shoes. In spring, summer and fall be sure to bring a pair of sneakers for the rocky paths that abound. Be cautious and aware of your surroundings. All our summer guests can stroll through the Garden Court, or picnic on the Park grounds a one minute walk away.

Your owner and host welcomes you to the quiet, the woods, the peace and tranquility for making special memories to treasure for a lifetime. Sophisticated yet relaxing, book Moonstone Manor now for any season of the year.

NOTE: The pool is not available this summer due to coronavirus.

Guest access
The entire home and grounds are for our guests enjoyment, along with the deer and an occasional fox. Self check-in with lockbox code which will be sent after reservation is confirmed.

Other things to note
We provide spa body products for our guests: Pantene shampoo, Oil of Olay body wash and luxury hand soap and body moisturizer. Smart TV, high speed internet, basic cable, assorted board games, jigsaw puzzles and an eclectic selection of books are provided for some brain food.
