A light-filled guesthouse on a smallholding nestled next to the Mississippi river, but only a 20 minute bike-ride to the French Quarter! Wake up to the sound of our flock of chickens, watch the ships sail past the end of the garden, and take in the sunset over the river. Enjoy the peace and serenity of the historic Holy Cross neighborhood in the Lower Ninth Ward -- New Orleans' best-kept secret. We are a stone's throw from the river levee, with the best walks and views for miles.

The apartment is lovely and so were the hosts. We loved the fresh eggs and other bits, watching sunset on the Mississippi and walking/cycling into the centre.

Emily’s place is quiet and cozy. It was nice to go back to a place like this after exploring the city all day. The location is very convenient, about 15min drive to French quarter. We really enjoyed our stay.

Emily’s place truly is the perfect mix between a relaxing vacation and the busy French Quarter activities. We loved that we had bikes to ride into the French Quarter on days it wasn’t too hot and Emily had a great list of recommendations for us when we arrived. The space was…

My husband and our two daughters live in New Orleans. He's from Mississippi, I'm from England. We love where we live and are lucky to have jobs we love too. We have been Air BnB hosts since 2014 -- using our space for friends and our large families when they visit, but renting it…
