Bright and cozy one-bedroom guest suite with private back yard is within walking distance to Tonquin beach and local trails. A 5-minute walk takes you to the village of Tofino where you will find excellent restaurants, unique gift shops, art galleries as well as many adventure tour companies. The suite is a 10 minute drive to the surf beaches and close to public transit.

The space
This guest suite is designed for comfort and privacy, while still being an organic part of the quiet residential neighbourhood. The enclosed backyard gives you a quiet, calm oasis for your enjoyment. All window coverings can lift up from the bottom or can be pulled down from the top, letting you set your own privacy levels. Heated tile flooring in the entrance-way and bathroom make for cozy toes, while the cork flooring in the rest of the suite is both soft on the feet and warm at the same time.

Have you ever wondered what it was like living in a highly energy efficient home? Give ours a try. Cozy up to the triple paned European designed windows and be wowed by the quiet and the warmth. Feel good about carbon emissions while in the midst of a 20 minute shower - our all-electric house produces almost none. Plus, if you are into rainbows - we see an amazing amount of them from our vantage point up on the hillside!

Neighbourhood highlights

Our quiet residential neighbourhood is a short 8 minute walk to the heart of the town of Tofino: the Village Green. From there, explore the harbour waterfront, where you will find numerous boat, plane and kayak tour companies happy to take you out on day adventures to watch whales, bears, or take you to Hot Springs Cove. Or skip the adventure for now and instead discover the wide variety of art shops and gift stores in town, stop in for lunch at one of many top restaurants or do a quick grocery shop at the Co-op before walking back to your home away from home.

In the afternoon, drive 7 minutes to North Chestermans beach for a surf lesson or a stroll along the beach, or carry on to Pacific Rim National Park, a 16 minute drive away. On the way home, stop in at the Outside Break area at 1180 Pacific Hwy. You will have a hard time deciding between the fish tacos at the original Tacofino truck tucked away in the back or the also delicious tacos at the newer Wild Side Grill. Either way, you can finish off with a treat at Chocolate Tofino, tucked in behind the Tofician Cafe. Then come back to your home perched on the hillside and hopefully catch the last rays of the westering sun displayed on the distant mountains.
