On the Southern Downs, in the Granite Belt approximately 11km north of Stanthorpe is the small township of 'The Summit".
Situated on Valley View Farm, this is your home base to enjoy what this area is famous

The space
Room to spread out in this two bedroom cottage. Not a new build but fresh and clean and channeling a vintage vibe. for.
''Please note'' we are on the northern outskirts and it takes about 8 minutes to drive the 11km from here directly to town.
You will have access to one or two bedrooms, depending on your booking requirements, plus the rest of the space. The cottage has a fully enclosed yard in the front. It also has a front patio and a back outdoor barbecue area for outside relaxing and an outside fire area. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave and full size upright stove/oven combo (no dishwasher) and laundry facilities.

Outdoors you have a full size tennis court and pavilion as well as the basket ball hoop.
This building started life as an office when the property used to be a strawberry farm nearly twenty years ago. Now Valley View is a small working farm 1.33km off the New England Highway, on the Qld/NSW border. There are four houses situated within walking distance of each other. Your accommodation is private, but not secluded as you are likely to see/hear other people during your stay. The cottage is at ground level for the back entrance but has three steps in the front.
No pets allowed inside. A large fenced yard is provided for your pet to enjoy. (Approx 15 x 20 m)

Guest access
My choice on Airbnb is ‘entire space’ or ‘shared space’. This is definitely not a shared space with separate bookings, so I opted for entire space. This can be confusing because the booking price is for 2 people in one room. i.e. access to one bedroom only, not the entire space. Please let me know at the time of booking, if you require the room with 2 single beds or the queen bed room. If 2 people are wanting separate rooms the other room is available for a $30 cleaning fee per booking. You are welcome to use the tennis court and pavilion, walk around the grounds and maybe find a quiet or scenic spot.

Other things to note
A quantity of wood is complimentary for the indoor fireplace- if you need more it can be purchased at the highway service station.
No wood supplied for outside fire, you will need to bring/buy your own.
We are on tank water and would be most grateful if you are vigilant with water usage.
The washing machine requires 2 x $2 coins to operate. Washing powder provided. No dryer.
Not suitable for pets to stay inside even for sleeping at night.
Even though the accommodation is on a farm we do not offer interactive farm activities like horse riding, cow milking etc. You are quite welcome to look at different things and we are happy to show you around.
For safety and biosecurity we ask that guests venture no further down the back of the property than the grid near the first dam and the horse paddock.
Tennis court is equipped with lights for you to play at night.
