Whether you are looking for a cozy romantic get-away or a home base to explore the Olympic National Park, our family's cabin is the perfect spot. Built in 1974 on Lake Sutherland, this has been our retreat for over 30 years and we are excited to share it with you.

This picturesque location is just outside the Olympic National Park, 17 miles west of Port Angeles and just east of Lake Crescent. Lake Sutherland is an all-sports, glacier-made lake surrounded by moss laden mountain foothills.

Where you’ll be

Port Angeles, Washington, United States

The lake is pretty quiet in the late fall, winter and spring, though there is a handful of people living there year-round. Things get busier in the summer months, when property owners and guests bring their boats and jet skis out for fun in the sun, especially on weekends. Kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, bird watching and fishing are also popular. The public boat launch, which provides the only public access to the lake, is located just a few minutes from the cabin and requires a Discovery Pass, which can be purchased locally.

There is a small convenience store/gas station located across the lake that can be accessed via a 5 minute drive. It is recommended that groceries be purchased in Port Angeles before coming out to the lake.
