Wonderful eco-sustainable French style cottage built of stone and native timber with picturesque views of the river valley and mountains. Near to Carterton, Greytown and Masterton.

Drink pure artesian spring water while listening to abundant birds and sitting on your veranda. Go for a bush walk in the National Park across the river, go biking, play golf - or visit the vineyards and restaurants for a vibrant time.

This is an adventure escape that is close to the vibrant Wairarapa 'good life'!

The space
Many people say the photo's do not do justice to the delights of the Cottage.
It is a lovely private and welcoming space that gets plenty of sun, and provides a full kitchen with stove, grill and oven with all necessities - even an Italian stove-top coffee percolator. Self check-in and private parking.

There is a very efficient fire to keep you warm on chilly nights. The big bathroom has a very large corner bath and also a private outside hot shower that allows you to listen to the birds and smell sweet bush aroma's while you bathe - a very popular feature.

The veranda has a BBQ and a dining table and chairs in addition to the inside dining area. The views are entrancing together with the surrounding native forest environment.
ENJOY!

Guest access
Surrounded by hundreds of acres of native forest and streams. The DoC National Forest Park with hiking trails is just across the river and Mount Holdsworth park and easier walks is nearby.
Wairarapa Showgrounds and Carterton Golf Club are just over 15 minutes away.

Other things to note
When you get to the French Village Estate do NOT enter in first gates (number 999) but continue 200 meters to second blue gates (number 1029). Go left past the lodge and up the hill to the Cottage.
