The space
This two-bedroom residence at Zermatt is situated in the mountainside enclave of Winkelmatten, with ski-in/ski-out access to Klein Matterhorn Express. The home is part of a larger, five-bedroom chalet and can be rented individually or in conjunction with Chalet Tuftra 6. Superb private features include a fully equipped kitchen, a beautifully furnished living and dining area, high-end media technology, and a ski room. Each bedroom includes a split-king bed that can be arranged as two twin beds if desired. A variety of deluxe services are available to guests, including event planning, pre-arrival shopping, and private ski guides.
The chalet's design blends minimalist alpine elegance with high-end contemporary comforts, giving a consummate taste of today's Swiss Alps. Ample windows and glass doors infuse the home with abundant natural light and views of the Matterhorn. The open-concept interior features a lounge area with wood-burning fireplace, a dining table for eight, and a sleek modern kitchen with chef-quality appliances and generous prep areas. There is also an outdoor lounge for relaxing in the mountain air. The villa is superbly equipped with excellent media technology (including Apple TV), as well as Wi-Fi and an elevator.
The bedrooms provide cozy private havens for quiet downtime and peaceful slumber. Each includes an ensuite bathroom, TV, and doors to a balcony. The arrangements are ideal for a family, a small group of friends, or business travelers.
Winkelmatten offers one of the finest locations in Zermatt, with true ski-in/ski-out convenience coupled with easy access to the town's fabulous après-ski scene. The wonderful Matterhorn Museum—devoted to the iconic mountain and its history, and built in the form of an alpine village—is about ten minutes away on foot, while the heart of Zermatt Town is about a fifteen-minute walk.
