Kick off your shoes at the door and stop for a moment... Take a deep breath and melt into the comfort and tranquility that is Lettes Bay.. ‘Waterview' has been beautifully restored. The exterior is still original but the interior has been redesigned and furnished with a modern and luxurious feel. Relax in the spa with some bubbles or enjoy beautiful Lettes Bay from the deck.

The space
Whilst the shack and deck are all yours, the space around the space around them is common. You can use any of this area to enjoy your breakfast or watch the sun go down with a glass of wine. Lettes Bay is a treasure trove of photographic opportunity- from the moored piners punts to the dilapidated timber posts of jetties long gone.

Location

Strahan, Tasmania, Australia

Lettes Bay is a collection of rustic shacks that were built by workers at the Mt Lyell Mining and Railway Company between 1890 and 1950. Many of these shacks have been lovingly restored and we would love to share this secluded and majestic part of the world with you.
Around the shacks is common so shared by all the people in Lettes Bay, guests and locals alike.
Strahan is only 1.4km from Lettes Bay. There are many things to do and see in and around Strahan.
*Cruise the Franklin/Gordon Rivers
*Jump on the old steam train
* Grab a great coffee from The Coffee Shack
* Dine out in style at Risbys or Hamers
*Check out the worlds longest running stage show "The Ship That Never Was"
*Visit Roger and Deb at Wilderness Woodwork, smell the huon pine and check out the beautifully turned timer pieces, taste local whiskies, sample local cheeses, pate and other delicious goodies
*Pop in next door to Morrison's and check out a working timber mill. Soak up the smell and the history and have a chat to Snow.
* If you are staying for a while Strahan also has a laundromat, with Molly's cafe conveniently located next door.

After a recent trip to stay in Lettes Bay with the owner of the shacks, i fell in love with this secluded and romantic place and eventually convinced him to reopen them and share them with you. The Shacks - 'Waterveiw' and 'Mt Lyell' are the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Relax and unwind, enjoy the beauty of Lettes Bay or just shut the doors and hideaway. I feel exceptionally blessed to be able to share this magnificent place with you and I am sure you will love it as much as I do.
