Private room on first floor of a beautiful, well maintained brand new house overlooking paddyfields. The lovely garden is frequented by endemic and migrant birds.
Visitors can enjoy a tranquil holiday while also can visit our cinnamon, paddy, mango plantations and cinnamon processing centre.
Meals provided based on an à la carte menu.
Close proximity to National wildlife parks: Yala, Lunugamvehera and Bundala Bird Park.

The space
Set in a natural environment surrounded by more than 4 acres of plantations. Quiet, homely and tranquil place where guest can experience life in a Sri Lankan village setting.

Guest access
Guests have access to ground floor dining area with a patio leading to a lovely garden space where one can relax while looking at the Sacred Wedihiti Kanda. An ideal place to relax after either visiting national wild life parks or sacred religious locations. Ample parking available.

During your stay
I want our guests to have a relaxing time during their stay at MCR and don’t want to get in the way of their holiday. However, I’m always contactable via phone, email and Airbnb.

I am a retirerd medical doctor married to a ex tea planter who has many years of planting experience in Sri Lanka. My last job was at the United Nations based in Sri Lanka. My husband had a desire to start an agricultural project and after experimenting with many short term crops he started a cinnamon plantation. We have been able to provide employment and training to over 15 youth from the area and help the villagers to educate their children I started the guest house/ home stay as a hobby. I enjoy looking after the place and maintaining the garden.
