The Granary at Horselea is one of two cottages created from our old farm buildings and we have retained many of the original features and they finished to a very high standard. The Granary offers our guests accommodation over two floors, on the ground floor is situated our kitchen/diner, shower-room, twin room and double room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a Halogen Hob and fan oven, a Fridge/Freezer, washing machine and dishwasher and a microwave. There are lots of utensils, and all the other items you may require to cook a special meal, or just do your own thing. Our dining table seats 8 although guests who have booked both cottages all manage to eat together. Our shower-room has a large walk-in shower which is easy access for those who are less mobile. On the upper floor we have a large lounge with stunning views to the South and West where you can watch the glorious sunset, admire the crops and stock in our fields or chill on our comfortable sofas. Also on the upper floor is our largest bedroom with a king sized bed and a day bed to allow an extra guest. Our bathroom is also situated on the upper floor. All electricity, linen, towels and our eco-friendly cleaning products and toiletries are included the the cost of your booking.

The Granary has exclusive use of our wood fired hot tub which is proving very popular with our guests. Our tub is made from Scottish Larch and uses no chemicals as Larch has antibacterial properties. The tub seats a maximum of 6 persons and is suitable for guests over the age of 4. We ask our guests to bring their own towels to use at the tub although we can hire you special coloured towels at £1 each. Any monies collected from towel hire is donated to Kidney Kids Scotland Charity.

The space
The Granary at Horselea is situated on our working farm in the Strathearn Valley with panoramic views of hills, fields and river. There are stunning views from all windows of the Ochill Hill to the South, just one mile away, the foothills of the Grampians to the North. There is a large grass area for recreation suitable for children and adults to enjoy, this area is secure and safe for small children. We are situated within 5 minute drive of all major routes, the M90 to Edinburgh or North to Inverness and Aberdeen and A9 to the West for Glasgow and the West coast. Perth is just a 10 minute drive where there are a variety of shops, Theatre, Concert Hall, Museum, Swimming Pool to name but a few. Perthshire has a wide variety of stunning scenery from Mountains to lochs, we do not have a coastline but St Andrews and Fife are an hours drive or Dundee with the new V & A Museum, Discovery Point and other attractions. Horselea is a very central location for our guests to visit a large variety of tourist attractions during there stay, or just chill in our Hot Tub which is heated by a wood burning stove and is exclusive to the Granary

Where you’ll be

Horselea HolidayCottages are on a working farm and are surrounded by our fields. During the summer our cattle are fed on grass in our fields, we ask guests to be responsible beside them although they are mostly calm and enjoy having their head scratched. Please observe the Country Code while walking on the farm. It is very quiet here, the evening sky is particularly beautiful and a vast array of stars can be seen.
