The apartment was nice and centrally located in downtown/Chinatown. short walk to sights, bars, restaurants and shops. Some homeless people during night time in neighboring blocks, but nothing to really worry about.
The listing description was accurate and the location was close to many of the places we wanted to visit.
Hi Kirsten, unfortunately what you call invasive , is part of security and bylaw of the building that we need to follows. Rhonda ( my assistant) was flexible and generous to accept to parking a car the wasn't of you propriety. The accommodation agreement is just part of details of you check in, out and that you understanding what we expect how to leave the apartment at that time of you check out.
I hope the rest of you stay was very pleasant. Liliana

The apartment is just as pictured. I didn't get to meet Liliana as she was out of town, but Rhonda met me for check in and check out and it was very easy. We had 3 people staying here and it was the perfect size for us. The location is close to the stadium station and I was able to take the train from the airport. We didn't have a car, but the location made it easy to walk around between Gastown/Yaletown and downtown. Vancouver has a large homeless population which is a bit more evident in this area, but we never felt unsafe. It wasn't very hot while we were here and even rained a bit, but the apartment was still a bit stuffy if you didn't keep the windows open, which since it's on the ground level you couldn't do at night. The windows don't have screens so you let the bugs in. A couple more fans or an AC unit would have made a difference at night, but a small fix for an otherwise great stay.
Liliana kindly greeted is, even though our train was delayed three times, at 12:45 am. She showed us the space and we signed the rental agreement, which I had not received in advance. The townhouse is on the edge of a sketchy neighborhood, across from a park. A car parked out front was broken into our first night, and we decided it was better to get back before dark. During the day I didn't feel unsafe. The townhouse is very close to transportation - literally a five minute walk to the sky train. There is a bus route that stops directly across the street from the unit. Convenient yes, quiet no. The unit is nice, with condiments in the fridge, and amenities in the bathroom, plus a washer and dryer. It's nicely appointed and beautifully decorated. If you need a place to stay in Vancouver this is certainly central to transportation and the Canucks stadium. It would be a great place to stay to see hockey games, or even concerts.
Our host had great communication, told us the a bit about the area and where to go and not to go. Upstairs bedroom was excellent. Great for one person or a couple sharing the room and visiting. I would not recommend this place for more than 2 people if you are not sharing a room because the other beds are painful to sleep on and noisy. There is very little ventilation and it is not safe to leave the sliding door open because there is no gate or screen door. The place was nice and the few issues I had can easily be fixed.
Very clean apartment and nicely decorated. Centrally located and within walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. Clean towels and bedding, everything we could have asked for. We would stay here again!
