This home is in a scenic location.
Rents Sunday to Sunday during summer months. Off season monthly discounts. 5 minute walk to South Beach. Wide sandy beach with a shallow sandy entry into Lake Huron. Spend a relaxing week on the beach, shopping or dining out in Southhampton or neighbouring Port Elgin. Bring your bikes and ride along the waterfront trail or play golf near by. For more adventure take a day trip to hike to the grotto in Bruce Peninsula National Park or take a boat ride to Flower Pot Island or Manitoulin Island.

Neighbourhood highlights

Southhampton is known for it's beautiful wide sandy beach and gorgeous sunsets. It has a reputation for being quieter than Sauble beach, more for couples and families as opposed to groups of teens or young adults who prefer Sauble. There are several high end ladies fashion stores on the main street as well as excellent in and outdoor dining venues. Southhampton is also home to an art school that gives classes and exhibitions as well as a summer theatre. There are 2 food establishments that are known to have long lines - the Offshore Bakery and Arman's Cafe. You definitely have to try them both.

The Bruce Peninsula has special memories for me. My family of 7 used to look forward to our annual vacation in Port Elgin. We stayed with my grandparents and spent fun family time at the many beaches in the area. We used to take regular camping trips to Bruce Peninsula National Park and McGregor Provincial Park with our own family and friends throughout the years. A few years ago my husband and I decided to purchase our lovely little cottage from an elderly couple who had kept the property in pristine condition. We recently added a second beachfront .cottage right on beautiful Miramichi Bay. One day when we retire we hope to spend more time enjoying our properties. In the meantime we are happy to let others enjoy our special "happy places" and the beauty, relaxation and hospitality of the Bruce.
