The space
The treehouse offers you a home away from home on a secluded cul de sac road. We have a professional cleaning company come in between guests. The space is always impeccably clean.

In light of the Covid -19 crisis, we ask that you do your groceries in your local neighbourhood prior to your stay to minimise the risk for our local area. Please keep your local activities to the outdoors and respect the physical distancing rules outlined by the government health officials . We also ask that if you’ve been travelling in the last 14 days and/or show any symptoms, to postpone your stay to a later date.

Nearby attractions include Eco Odyssee, Wakefield village, Edelweiss golfing and skiing and Vorlage Ski hill, and Gatineau Park. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Gatineau Hills at the end of a small country road surrounded by forest.

Enjoy the breathtaking sunsets over the Gatineau hills through the large windows, close all the lights at night and get ready for a magnificent panorama of stars. Open concept living space is perfect for 2 people to sleep comfortably. 1 queen bed and 1 single bed.

Walking distance to The Belvedere Wedding reception venue and Eco Odessee. 6 km drive to Wakefield village, restaurants, local general store, shops, community centre, Kayak/stand up paddle board/bike rentals, Vorlage ski hill, Gatineau Park trail access, Hospital and pharmacy. 10 km from IGA grocery store. 3 km from Edelweiss Ski hill.

Other things to note
Since we live in the country, there are approximately 3 to 4 power outages a year. Please do not use the water if the power is out as this will drain the water supply and we will need to get a service call. If there are any issues, please contact us.

Please let us know if you plan on having any guests over while you are staying at the treehouse.

We’ve taken out the condiments during Covid, sorry for the inconvenience.

In the spring and fall, there may be some black flies in the treehouse, they usually come out of the old logs that the treehouse is built of. Sticky fly tape and fly swatter will be provided during these transition seasons. One of the many charms of living in the country, we co exist with the critters and flies.

The treehouse is located in a mountainous region. In the winter months, the private road going up to the treehouse is well maintained (plowed and sanded), however good tires are still encouraged to get up the hill to the treehouse.

The code for the front door will be available on air bnb the day of check in.

I grew up in Wakefield and appreciate all that it has to offer, it's local markets, music venues, restaurants, festivals and of course the beautiful Gatineau Park. I enjoy cross country skiing in the winter and hiking as well as mountain biking the many trails in the summer.
