Location

Amphoe Mueang Chiang Mai, Chang Wat Chiang Mai, Thailand

Me and my mum always come here on the weekend to just relax, read great books, watch T.V., and really enjoy the peacefulness of the space. In the morning, we always go for coffee at Roastwood, a small fantastic coffee shop that uses Northern Thai coffee beans. My favourite coffee here is capucino doppio, so good!! (Less than 1 min walk). For lunch, the famous Northern Thai restuarant, Koom Wiang Yong is just steps away. Since I love to stay in reading books and sometimes watching Netflix, I order takeaway from Koom Viang Yong and have it in the dining room so that I can enjoy my books while having lunch. I'm always super excited for dinner when I'm here cause my favorite pizza place, Adirak is in the area and only opens for dinner. I suggest going there early like around 5.30 cause after 6, it is pretty packed (3mins by bike, 1 min by Grab, 5 mins by foot). If I feel like having Thai food, บ้านเคียงภู (Ban Kiang Pooh) never fails to satisfy me as it is one of the best Thai restaurant in town in my opinion. This place is a hidden gem, very reasonable price and the fact that only local people know about this place makes it 4x better and making you feel like a real local.

The area is lovely, peaceful, artsy and quiet. We suggest travellers to ride bicycle around the area. Famous local community like 'Ban Kang Wat' is only 3 minutes away by bicycle and along that artsy road there are so many things to discover like great local food, trendy coffee shops, artisan bakeries or just soak up the view of Doi Suthep. This street is totally ig-worthy!!
