This is the house, which is located at Nishijin area in Kyoto.
Since here is not a tourist spot, you can feel "Real Life" in Kyoto around here. very peaceful and quiet.

1st floor has a living room, a kitchen, a bath room, and a toilet.
2nd floor has two bed rooms.
You can use whole this house for 2 - 5people.

*We are also running "Expo Hostel" near this cottage.
We ask all the guests to check in at "Expo Hostel Ori", since the location of this cottage is a little bit difficult to find.

Nishijin is the traditional weaving district of Kyoto, with plenty of sightseeing to do nearby. The neighborhood is clean, quiet and very safe, with many narrow streets to explore. Colorful container gardens, traditional machiya, sento (public baths), neighborhood shrines, cafes and shops abound, with surprises around every corner.
Echoes of older times can be heard throughout the neighborhood. During the day you may hear the rhythmic clatter of textile looms and the tolling bells from nearby Daitokuji. Just after dark you may hear the gentle clacking of wooden blocks reminding people to take care of their fires.
In fall and winter enjoy a hot bath at the historic Funaoka onsen just around the corner. The beautiful scent of plum and cherry blossoms mark the coming of spring. The serene temple gardens are their most verdant in summer and offer a meditative retreat from the excitement of the city.
The nearest supermarket and convenience store are only a five minute walk away.

Hi, our hostel & cottage are managing by Yusuke & Mariko. When you arrive here, we can give you 10min guide near the hostel if you need. We can tell you good restaurants, location of grocery/convenience store, bakery, cafe, Michelin guide Soba restaurant(around 1200yen), Japanese sweets store and Onsen(Public bath). They are in all walking distance.

We are located in Nishijin area which is known as weaving and they will make a part of Japanese Kimono(traditional cloth). A lot of people still make in their living house. You can hear the sounds of weaving machine when you walk outside near the hostel.

Hostel is not close to downtown or Kyoto station, but you can go many famous places (Golden temple, Daitokuji temple, Mt. Funaoka etc) by walk or bicycle. There are many local famous spot that we want to share.

この Hostel & Cottage は､ゆうすけ､まりこ､2人が運営をしています｡ﾎｽﾃﾙの場所は西陣という地域にあります｡西陣は着物の帯で有名な場所でいまでも多くの方が織機使って､帯やﾈｸﾀｲなどを作っています｡外を歩けば織機の音が聞こえてきます｡京都駅や祇園からは近くはないですが､ﾊﾞｽ1本で行くことができます｡

ﾎｽﾃﾙから徒歩2､3分の距離には､岩とひのきの露天風呂がある船岡温泉や､銭湯を改装して作られたさらさｶﾌｪ､和菓子ではうめぞの茶房や聚洸､ﾐｼｪﾗﾝｶﾞｲﾄﾞで1つ星の蕎麦屋のかね井､ﾊﾝﾄﾞﾒｲﾄﾞｱｰﾃｨｽﾄが集まる藤森寮､またｽﾀｯﾌもよくいく定食屋などがあります｡その他にもｶﾞｲﾄﾞﾌﾞｯｸにはあまり取り上げられない観光ｽﾎﾟｯﾄやｶﾌｪもありますので､ｽﾀｯﾌに聞いてください｡

近くの名所としては金閣寺や一休さんで有名な大徳寺､あぶり餅で有名な今宮神社､また京都を一望できる船岡山があります｡いずれの場所も自転車で5-10分ほどでいくことができます｡
