The Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario is pleased to offer the rare opportunity for guests to sleep in a caboose for an authentic railroader experience.

Curl up in our comfortable pull-down beds with fresh linens and relax in the quiet glow of the lantern. This plywood Caboose was built in postwar 1945.

*Please note this is not a hotel but a unique glamping experience.*

The space
The inside of the Caboose is fit with electricity, yet still has the original setup. This includes three foldout benches that become beds, a raised area known as a "Cupola", a writing desk, a stove and a sink. Please note that the stove and sink are no longer functional, but there are electrical outlets provided. A small kitchenette (sinks, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle), showers and washrooms are available inside the museum. Please note that there is no air conditioning in the caboose, but we provide a fan during the warmer months. By staying in the caboose, you will have the authentic experience of what it was like to live on the railway.
