Come to enjoy the wide spaces offered by this charming mansion in progress of renovation, nested in its wide fully-fenced backyard, along the channel, all of this while being close from the city and roads, the train station and all shops and services.

The space
The "Demeure de La Charmeuse" is a unique house in which we propose you to spend time. It's not a shiny hotel, but old stones, antique floors where you can guess the century old steps, and furnitures which can tell you stories. Well, much imperfections which makes it perfect to our taste!

We are a young couple of artists and this house is our true passion. It's, first, the one in which we live, and in which we spend many long days finding the perfect authentic materials to renovate. You will probably see it quickly, we are passionate by old, curiosities and ecological things and as well as our full time jobs or artists and parents, we have in Belfort a little brocante boutique with antique and vintage furnitures and clothing, and we can only hope that our house reflects all of those passions! During your stay, the house is all yours, we won't be inside.

To be noted, all pans are in cast iron. Healthier but aged, cast irons items are not to be taken care of like teflon or other modern materials. It's absolutely normal for it to be black and marked. On a same note, the coffee marker you can find in the house is a tradionnal italian coffee maker, zero waste and an unbeaten taste! You won't find disposable wipes at home, and will have access to the compost if you feel like recycling your kitchen waste (not obligatory :))

In the garden, you will find a ping-pong table, a barbecue, a slide and a very wide trampoline.

The house is under renovation, it's almost over, but depending on when is your reservation, it is possible that there will still have a few things to be done. At the time this listing is updated, the renovation which still has to be done are: sink in bedroom 2 to be changed (it's perfectly usable, clean but has indelible paint + kitchen countertop has o be changed because it's a bit too short, but it's perfectly functional as is + plinths and door frames to be fixed + marks on walls and roof here and there to repair/repaint. Depending on the date of your stay, it's possible that those will be finished! Meanwhile, we propose a discounted price.

Please note that this is a several centuries old house, and the house will never be as neat as a brand new house. We wished to preserve the originals floor, for example, those are really marked by the time. We love this patina, but it might not be of the taste of everyone. We also chose to keep some raw walls, or to paint some walls only partially on purpose. See photos for a better idea :-)

Babies and children are welcome at home ; We have baby bath, potty, security barrier etc. You can also find many books in French and English, toys and board games etc... The garden is fully fenced.

We propose as well, on demand, adults and children bicycles, baby seats as well as helmets, ideal to visit all the bike paths near by!
