Great location
90% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Morven Pod is situated next to Stroma Pod in the rural village of Auckengill in Caithness, five miles south of John O'Groats. Morven Pod is tastefully furnished in shades of mauve and grey with sea and countryside views. The shower block is just a few steps away and Morven Pod has it's own shower, toilet and sink within the block so no shared facilities! All bedding and towels are provided as well as complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and breakfast cereals.

The space
The pod is heated and has a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, TV/DVD Player and full size double bed. There is parking next to the pod.
Please let us know if you are bringing a dog. One dog is welcome in the pod and can be exercised on the grass area but we kindly request that dogs are kept on a lead due to livestock being in adjacent fields and for the comfort of other guests. Please do not allow your dog on the bed. Dog towels, blankets, bowls and poo bags are available if required.

Location

Auckengill, Scotland, United Kingdom

Auckengill is home to the Broch Centre which houses some interesting Viking and Pictish artefacts. We are five miles south of John O'Groats and half a mile off the NC500 route. Ferries to Orkney are a fifteen minute drive away. The passenger ferry from John O'Groats runs from May to October and offers tours of Orkney. The car ferry at Gills runs all year round. The Castle of Mey, the former home of the Queen Mother is about 25 minutes drive away. Nearby there are long sandy beaches which even in summer do not get busy.
