Sustainable accomodation in a climate-friendly wooden house - breakfast included & also the KONUS-Card, which allows you to use the public transport in the whole Blackforest area between Karlsruhe and Basel (bike transport included!) FOR FREE! We use geothermal energy, solar energy, photovoltaics and cistern water. We are in the middle of Markgräflerland ("Tuscany of Germany") with France and Switzerland nearby as well. And "at home" you may use our in-house pastime opportunities.
The space
We offer one of two sunny upstairs rooms with up to four beds on two levels. On the ground floor there is a 1.40 x 2.00 m double bed with a spring mattress for up to two people. There is also a 1.40 x 2.00 m loft bed, also with a spring mattress. Bed-linen and towels (including bath sheets and bathrobes) are included
The room has a large corner wardrobe and a highboard chest of drawers for your clothes. There is also a large open shelf and a large table on which you can either eat, work or play. Additional chairs can be provided if required. The property is not suitable for children under 5 years old.
Guest access
In addition to your room, you have access to the adjacent bathroom, which will be used by other guests, if the second guest room is occupied as well. There is also a guest toilet+sink on the ground floor, which is open for use by everyone.
In the large common room there is a sitting area with a Swedish stove, a pool table, a dart board, a table football game, a piano and a large shelf with games for common use. In summer we offer the large shared outdoor pool, fire pit, ping pong table and our outdoor seating areas.
During your stay
We partially work from home, so sometimes we're available during the day, sometimes not. We often have a chat with out guests and like, if guests are willing to share some time with us for example sitting at the breakfast table on weekends or around the fire-pit on fine summer evenings.

We have a cat which is curious but still a bit distant. She doesn't often go into the guest rooms of her own accord, but sometimes she can be found sleeping on the beds, if the door was left open.
For bicycles and motorcycles, there is the option of covered, locked parking in our garage.
