Pretty Breton detached 2 bedroom gite with large gardens and in beautiful, peaceful rural surroundings equipped with everything needed for a relaxing holiday.

The space
Kitchen and dining
The gite has an attractive kitchen diner with exposed beams decorative fire place. Equipped with Dishwasher, oven, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, microwave, toaster and full compliment of crockery, cutlery and glasses.
The dining table will seat 6 with comfort.

Living rooms
A good sized lounge with 3 seater sofa, a bed settee and 2 armchairs.
A bookshelf with many books and puzzles. Tv unit and flat screen tv and dvd player (English and french TV accessible ). Coffee table

Bedrooms
A double bedroom on the 1st floor with chest of drawers and hanging rack. There is a spare double mattress should the need arise
A twin room on the 2nd floor with skylight windows. Chest of drawers and clothes rail.

Entertainment
Flat screen tv with freesat and dish directed to the Atlas satellite to provide UK television programmes and french tv there is a dvd player and numerous dvds and a quantity of indoor toys to keep the children occupied

Garden and outside
Standing in its own plot there are large gardens to the rear and side and a driveway to the front. On the patio sits table and chairs and a bbq is available. Swings are available for the little ones

Parking for 2 cars

Guest access
A key safe is installed at the entrance of house. Code provided on booking. Especially useful if arriving out of hours. Host will greet visitors on arrival when ever possible and if desired.

Other things to note
We have a Labrador puppy and 5 free range chickens that often wander around the gardens

A 30 min drive away, Josselin is an absolute must visit on any tour of Breton with its medieval castle, dolls museum and the a very pretty village with its medieval half timbered houses and great views from the top of the bell tower. The Gothic Basilica Notre Dame de Roncier is in town square There is a lively market that fills surrounding streets on Saturday mornings
Lac au Duc
The lake near Ploermel which offers scenic views and walks for the more senior of us and beaches and water sports for the young at heart.
Created by the monks Lac du Duc is the largest inland lake in Brittany. At around 5.5 km by 500-900 m, the Lac du Duc is surrounded by a variety of different natural habitats and wetlands.You may be lucky enough to see otters, frogs or deer.The waters stock pike, pike perch, black bass and perch, etc. There are some very large specimens which makes this beautiful lake one of the best places in France for fishing. The legend says that the these water homed the mythical ‘vouivre’, the marsh monster that was killed by a monk called Armel.
Paimpont Forest
