Great check-in experience
93% of recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
Pleasant, modern, clean, double bedroom, with very comfortable double bed and shower room recently newly fitted with waterfall overhead shower.

Outlook is to the back of the property overlooking beautiful moorland scenery and completely private. Look out for moorland birds, curlews, hunting owls, deer etc. Very peaceful, quiet nights. You may hear sheep in the distance at times as a small farm at the road end.

Breakfast is served in the front room overlooking the sea, beach and castles.

The space
There is a collie dog on the premises who is not allowed to roam the house. She barks at first but then, when she is happy you will treat her owner well she will settle down!!! This house is very clean and you will not be aware of 'doggy' smell etc. She sleeps in utility room off the kitchen and may offer you her toys in the hope you will play. However, you do not need to have anything to do with her if you are unsure of animals.
Any questions - just ask.

Please be aware that this is a very clean and comfortable home. It is also a smoke free environment therefore no smoking is allowed in the house.

All bedding is non-allergenic/man-made fibres, and washed in non-biological liquid.

As your host I want to give you an experience of the wonderful renowned Highland hospitality. I come from the north west coast of Scotland but have lived here in the north east for over two decades. With its huge skies and amazing coastline it is a great contrast to the mountainous beauty of the north west coast. I enjoy being with people and love entertaining and having people for meals. I love life. I am a reader and thinker. I love to travel when I can. Music is also a part of my life and I have won a few cups for singing in my time. I am the mother of two sons - neither live at home now. I love food and cooking. I am also seduced by colour! If I have a motto it would be - There is Hope.

During your stay
I will always be available while you are guests in my home.
If you have your own transport you may wish to have an evening meal in Wick or John O'Groats. However, if not/or you would prefer it I can offer an evening meal but would want to plan it ahead to some extent so that I could prepare something that suited your likes. There would be an extra charge for that, of course. (£12 for main course plus £3 for desert)

At breakfast there will be fruit juice, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, tea and coffee on offer. I usually keep free-range eggs which can be cooked to suit your preferences. Breakfast is included in the price.

Any other requests, just ask.

All meals are served in a comfortable room at the front of the house overlooking the sea, beach and castles. Stunning views!
The sitting room can be accessible for evening relaxation - TV/Sky, books and music, also. Tea/coffee etc always available.
