The cottage has a vibrant and peaceful back yard with a raised flower beds and paved seating area complete with table and chairs, a tranquil place to sit out and relax or enjoy an evening glass of wine under the stars...

The front yard has 4ft walls and a latch gate, access to the laundry room, coal bunker, log store and bins are within this gravelled yard. There is also an outside light with movement sensor to help you on dark nights and mornings, as well as an outside tap and doggy hose incase any muddy paws or boots need a rinse off!

Please note dogs are not to be left unattended in the yards at any time.

If there is anything else, even if it is not detailed on here please do ask and if we can help then we certainly will!

Guest access
You have access to the entire cottage, make yourself at home and go exploring the beautiful surrounding areas and attractions knowing you can head back and relax in front of the fire for the evening! Access to the cottage is through the front yard which also leads access to the laundry room. To the rear of the cottage is a private yard with no access and so very peaceful on an evening. On the other side of the lane there is a communal green area, this is maintained by the locals and can be used by everyone - but please do respect and take care, removing any rubbish or dog mess. There is also a washing line directly opposite the cottage on the green which you will be able to use if needed in the warmer months. Anything you are unsure of please ask.

Other things to note
Stone Cottage is primarily set up for dogs and their families; you are more than welcome to come and stay without dogs but please bear in mind there are usually dogs staying in the cottage and therefore it may not be suitable for anyone with dog allergies.

The cottage also has a solid fuel central heating system, there is no gas access to the village. The large multi fuel stove will heat the water and if necessary the radiators, it is easy to use (there are instructions provided and I am happy to help if needed) and it is a very comforting and cosy aspect of the cottage.
