The space
- Safety for our guests, our community and ourselves during this Covid-19 pandemic is my family’s number one priority. If you have experienced any Covid-19 symptoms in the 14 days leading up to your reservation, or if you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive or has experienced any Covid-19 symptoms in the 14 days leading up to your stay we ask that you please cancel your reservation. It also goes the other way, if anyone in my family experiences any Covjd-19 symptoms, or comes in contact with anyone who has, we will, unfortunately, be cancelling reservations for at least two weeks. We are sure to wear masks and gloves (or hand sanitizers) whenever we enter the space. And, in between every stay all surfaces inside the space are sprayed and or wiped with a bleach diluted disinfectant.
- The spacious trailer is 38’ long and has two large tip outs. There are many windows so you can enjoy the view while you’re inside the trailer.
- The space is heated all winter with three carbon monoxide safe propane heaters, one in each room. And, there is a very large propane tank, so no need to worry about running out of propane or having to fill it yourself.
- Two Air conditioners will help keep you cool on the hot summer days. Everything in the unit runs on solar, but the air conditioner require the use of a generator. It is a quiet, inverter generator and there is a remote control inside the unit to start and stop it.
- Outdoor hot water shower when temperatures are above 40 Fahrenheit
- Stove, oven and full kitchen.
- Outdoor fire pit - wood is included for free. No fires allowed during fire bans.
- Propane bbq grill.
- Unlimited cold water inside the trailer, operated by foot pumps.
- The size of this space is best for up to four people. It is small for five people, but we’ve had many larger groups request to stay, and enjoy their stay, so we opened it up to more guests. Just know that it will be small for more than four people.
- Located 30 miles from the Grand Canyon.
- Equipped with a large solar system, there will be no problem powering the refrigerator and lights. It will also charge all electronic batteries and devices. All lights and outlets inside the trailer work. Do not use high power devices, such as, hair dryers, water boilers, rice steamers, etc. These types of high powered devices might shut the power down.
- The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups, bowls, silverware and knives, cutting board, every utensil you can think of, Starbucks French roast coffee, olive oil, mayonnaise-mustard-ketchup packets and more.
- There are foot pumps to operate the sinks in the bathroom and kitchen (cold water only). The water in all containers comes from a local well that is deemed safe to drink. However, I have bottled spring water, or reverse osmosis purified water on top of the fridge that you are welcome to use.
- There is an outdoor shower with a heater, lights and an on demand hot water heater. The shower will be turned off when the temperature is below 40 Fahrenheit.
- There is no WiFi in the unit, but there is good cell reception so you can use your phone as a hot spot.
- My family and I live right down the road in the green house. .

Guest access
You will have access to the entire trailer and acre. It is an easy half-mile drive down one dirt road to access the site. The road is bumpy and can get muddy. But, it is short and any vehicle will make it to the site - NO four-wheel drive required. If you have any trouble getting here let us know if we’re around we can come and help. There are cinders laid down for the last 100 yards leading to the trailer, as well as all around the trailer itself. This helps your car and shoes stay out of the mud when the area is wet. It also helps a lot in keeping the dust down around the area.

Other things to note
- There is a key lockbox attached to the deck at the top of the stairs for self check in.
- Extra pillows and blankets are in back closet.
- The kitchen and bathroom sinks are operated by foot pumps that only dispense cold water.
- The solar system will have no issues powering the refrigerator, lights, and all electronic devices. IT WILL NOT RUN HIGH POWER DEVICES - THEY WILL KILL THE POWER. THIS INCLUDES, ELECTRIC WATER BOILERS, CPAP MACHINES, COFFEE MAKERS, ETC.
- If you’d like to use the fire pit be sure to check for any fire bans in the area.
- There is a gas station about 7 minutes away with a small store and a restaurant.
- The shower will be turned off during freezing days of winter.
- There are public showers at the south rim and in flagstaff and Williams

The neighborhood is quiet, safe and peaceful. We live right down the road. We know all of our neighbors for many square miles. Only a few neighbors are within sight, and the closest is about a quarter mile away. Most of our neighbors work somewhere up at the Grand Canyon or run Airbnbs of their own.

Hello, my wife, daughter and myself live about a quarter mile from our Airbnb in Valle, AZ. My wife works with children and helps with the Airbnb, our daughter is nine and attends school at the Grand Canyon national park. I have been leading guided tours on the trails inside the Grand Canyon for twenty years. We started this Airbnb in June of 2019 and we are very happy to be able to share the experience of living off-grid in a peaceful and beautiful surrounding. We are greatly appreciative for all the guests who have come out to support us as a family living life according to their passions and dreams.

During your stay
I have worked as a hiking guide on the trails inside the Grand Canyon for 19 years. I will be gone during some days, taking people into the Great Abyss for day hikes 3-5 days a week. But, I will be available nearly every evening to help however I can, and to answer questions.
