Cozy log cabin set in Jade City. This area is a part of the Klondike Gold Rush that looks out to Table Top Mountain, an underground gold mine. The cabin feels like home and is filled with treasures we have collected over the years and has electric heat. There is a queen size bed, single bed, basic kitchen, dining room area and a lounge area. There is also a deck to put your feet up and enjoy the fresh mountain air. We are 600km/385 miles from the Whitehorse International Airport.

The space
The cabin is stocked with basic pantry goods, fresh water, coffee machine, kettle, microwave, a portable cooktop and kitchen ware. Extra pillows and blankets are always available. The cabin is set up to make you feel cozy and at home.

Please note:

- We recommend bringing your own groceries as there isn't a grocery store or restaurant in Jade City. Although, we have provided some basic items in the pantry such as pastas, pasta sauces, rice, canned soups, noodles, herbs, spices, oil, vinegar, popcorn, pop tarts, granola bars and other small snacks.
- Please make sure you have enough gas to travel to the next town, as there isn't a gas station available at Jade City. The nearest gas stations are approximately 115km both north and south.
- We will provide a large water jug for your use as there isn't running water in the cabin.
- There isn't a bathroom inside the cabin, but there is a shared bathroom (only available May to October) and outhouse nearby.

Guest access
The last food/gas station is dease lake an hour and a half south of Jade City, or Watson lake which is an hour and a half north of jade city. So make sure you fuel up and bring snacks! There is no cell service for the entire length of the Cassiar Highway. Wifi is now available at the cabin!

Other things to note
Please note that there is no cell phone service in Jade City, and that the wifi is limited. But this will be a great opportunity to soak up the beautiful surroundings!

Neighbourhood highlights

While enjoying your stay with us, you will be able to shop at the local Jade Store, where they mine and design their own pieces. During the summer months, they have a carver on site, where you can see some items being created and talk with the carver and staff about the whole jade process, right from the mining to the finished product. We are also home to many other historical sites, please ask staff/owners about the area.

My work: Cassiar Mountain Jade Store
Lives in Jade City, Canada
I have been living and working in Jade City for over 15 years! My love for Jade City has only grown over the years as I have been able to do what I love and love what I do! I am able to be a part of everybody’s adventures and hopefully make it just a bit more memorable for them. I also get to be immersed in the wilderness- enjoying the peace and fresh mountain air… it does a lot for the soul!
