Relax on the covered patio as you listen to the waves roll in, catch a fish in the barra pond, take a sunset stroll along the beach with a backdrop of tropical islands, wander the weaving pathways of the property’s tropical gardens or hang out in the hammock with a good book.

The space
5 Acre house is perched on a hill and overlooks a billabong and wetland beaming with birdlife and plenty of fish. 60 acres of open pastures and grassy bushland surround the house, and the border of towering paperbark trees make it a truly secluded paradise.

The expansive four bedroom, three bathroom house offers two large living areas, a huge patio and endless outdoor space, you could go the whole day without bumping into another soul.

The air-conditioned bedrooms are spacious with luxury linen and large wardrobes. Guests can enjoy the use of the entire house including a full kitchen, two living and lounge areas, expansive dining area, huge covered patio, two bathrooms and a laundry.

Guests can take advantage of a private bush track which connects the property to the beach. Those who love fishing will rejoice! Drop a line in the barra pond in front of the house, fish off the beach, or make your way further up the beach to one of the many estuary spots.

Guest access
VEHICLES
Please park vehicles near the garage/front house area. Although we don’t have designated parking, we would prefer if vehicles are kept to this area to minimise wheel tracks in the lawn and damage to sprinklers. Guests are not permitted to park trucks, commercial vehicles, trailers, caravans or similar on any property.

Other things to note
We are situated on the coast and surrounded by bushland in the tropics so you must be fond of wildlife and all the buzzing, squeaking and ribbetting things that go with it! Mosquitos in North Queensland are just like flies in the outback, we wish we didn't have to live with them, but we do. We provide mosquito coils and all types of repellent.

"A beach that extends well beyond the horizon, beckoning the beachcomber, dog walker or romantic. With a backdrop of tropical islands… Why wouldn’t you take a sunset stroll along this spectacular coastline, especially now you know you can finish the day with a cold beer or chilled wine by the ocean at the local pub." - Hinchinbrook Way website.

Forrest Beach offers boat ramps, parks, a great pub and restaurant, a fish and chip shop, a newsagent, chemist and even a medical centre.

My husband Daivd and I bought into our family property at Forrest Beach in 2014 and we've always had dreams of sharing it with others. It is a truly special place. As avid travellers, we spend a lot of time in Airbnbs and are always grateful for those truly great and authentic experiences. We hope we can afford others with the same comforts we have experienced over the years.
