Perched high above Lough Mask this stylish, spacious home has sensational views from every angle. If you’re looking for rejuvenation and inspiration, this understated, yet luxurious 3 bedroom holiday home promises an unforgettable escape. There are hiking and cycling trails, wild trout fishing and water sports on the doorstep. It’s also only a ten minute walk to a friendly pub/restaurant.

Please note we only accept SATURDAY to SATURDAY bookings in July and August.

The space
Entering the property from the rear, you walk past a utility room to the left and wet room to the right, straight into the beautiful, fully equipped kitchen and dining room, with expansive views of the countryside. There is an electric double oven, with grill, a 5 burner hob, separate larder fridge and freezer, and a dishwasher. The dining area has built in seating around the handcrafted oak table with space for 6-8 guests. There’s also a wood burning stove for chilly evenings and a comfortable sofa on which to relax and take in the views.

Leaving the kitchen you enter the triple aspect living room, with 55in tv, wood burning stove and large comfortable sofas to sink into at the end of each day’s exploring. French windows lead onto the large patio, where you can have a bbq on long summer evenings and admire the views. Deep set windows in this area help to provide a glimpse of the house’s history. There’s also a smaller, comfortable lounge with outstanding views over the lough and large glass sliding doors to the patio.

Upstairs, leading off a spacious landing, there are 3 bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and a family bathroom. The triple aspect master is very spacious. It has a king size bed, armchair, fitted wardrobes, and an en-suite bathroom, with rain forest shower and his and hers sinks. There are two further bedrooms, a triple with a double and a twin, and a twin room with 2 full size single beds. Both rooms have spectacular views of the lough. The family bathroom is shared by these rooms and has a beautiful freestanding quarrycast bath and a large shower enclosure with a rainforest shower. Beds are made up and ready for guests on arrival. 100% cotton bedding, wool filled duvets, two pillows, additional throws and towels are provided for each guest.

A friendly, family run bar and restaurant, with sensational views of the lough and traditional music on some nights, is just a ten minute walk from the house. Lough Mask is five minutes further on. It is renowned for its wild trout fishing and there are angling centres close by, from where you'll be able to arrange boat hire and guides if needed. We're also close to Loughs Nafooey, Carra and Corrib. Salmon fishing is also readily available at renowned local fisheries. You can try cycling along the Great Western Greenway, hiking and climbing mountains, adventure sports, canoeing, horse riding, visiting beaches, golfing or perhaps exploring Inishboffin or Clare Island. There is so much to do! We provide you with an online house manual, before you arrive, containing information about all appliances and recommendations for activities, attractions, excursions, bars and restaurants in the area.
