Welcome to off-the-grid living.

The cottage is a five minute drive off the highway and is accessible by car, but do drive slowly, there are a few rocks to get around.

You will be supplied with a large cooler and ice to keep your perishables cold.

It’s generator operated for electricity.

The cottage does have cold running water, gravity flow.

The cottage does not have bath or shower facilities, but there is a flush toilet and sink, we also have a large lake!

Drinking water will be supplied.

You can get cell phone service but no wifi.

There is a propane barbecue for you to use at any time.

Singing loons may perform for you at night.

Hi! My name is Lori Phillips and I'm the daughter of the late Larry Phillips, your previous host at Seas the Day Cottage. After dad's passing, we decided to continue to do thing that made dad happy - make people feel at home. As for me, I have lived here in Bonavista for all of my life. I've been working in the nursing profession for 17 years and enjoy making people feel comfortable. In my heart, I'm really an outdoors person, just like my dad. I love the woods, picking blueberries on the barrens and the wind in my face on the open sea. I grew up with all sorts of animals around my home. As dad once said, "No child should be without a lamb." So bring your pets to the cottage, they're welcomed here too. Dad left me with some great memories and I hope that you will create your own memories here as well. I'm looking forward to seeing you soon. Lori
