On maple-tree lined 8th St., our 115 yr old home is just 5 blocks from Goshen Coll. and one block from the South Side Soda Shop (feat. on Diners and Dives). The school across the street has open playground. 15 min. walk to downtown Goshen and 40 min. drive to Notre Dame. Sherri will be your hostess as owners are spending a year in Egypt. Ask her about cooking you a meal, enjoy a movie in the living room, or read a book on our 3-season porch, where you may see Amish buggies go by.

The space
We have been renovating our home since 2009 and are now spending a year in Egypt. Our hostess, Sherri, will be living on the third floor separate apartment , available to assist you. She enjoys cooking and gardening and will enjoy spending time with you or stay out of your way as you prefer.

Guest access
You will have three bedrooms, an office on first floor with full size bed to accommodate those who aren’t able to climb steps and access to multiple bathrooms. There is a kitchen, dining room and living room on the first floor, a three-seasons porch and a backyard campfire ring.

Other things to note
There is plenty of parking here. Goshen is a small city but you're just a short drive to Wal-Mart, grocery stores, and the artsy downtown district, featuring several coffee shops and good restaurants. Chain restaurants are also nearby.

Our neighborhood has an interesting mix of beautiful old homes and a lot of diversity both ethnically and economically. Some of our neighbors are college professors, others are factory employees. We're three blocks from the Millrace, a hiking trail that stretches for several miles great for your morning or evening jog or walk. An elementary school across the street has a playground that is always open, so if you bring kids there are swings, jungle gyms, basketball court, etc. While you're here, make sure to eat at the South Side Soda Shop, a mom n pop restaurant that was once featured on the popular TV program Diners N Dives. The South Side has great sandwiches, pies, and make sure to try the Spiral Fries!

During your stay
As we mentioned, Sherri is your hostess and she does live on the property in a separate unit. The house is very large and there may be people in some other spaces that are sectioned off, so this listing is really your own space.
