We had a great time at the Danish blue house. Wendy was a perfect host, when we arrived, she met us to show the house and had also baked a bread to us along with other food so that we had enough for breakfast the next morning. The house is perfect for families with many bedrooms and a washer and drier. Also equipped with a "WII" which my kids used a lot. The main bed was very comfortable. We can highly recommend the house!

Wonderfully warm welcome and a very well appointed cottage. Travelling with teenage boys, the board games, the wii and the wi fi were very much appreciated. If you have your own transport, highly recommended.

Great long weekend away with a few friends. House has everything you need. Little things make this air b and b a great place to stay (Freshly baked bread, museli iceblocks etc). House has industrial heater which makes you forget its winter outside!

Host was very welcoming and helpful in little things we needed! The house has more amenity and entertainments than I had at home! Thanks for everything, Wendy.

Wendy User ProfileWendy is a superhost.

I'm an expat American who has lived in New Zealand for nearly four decades (most of them in our home in Rotorua which I love.) Kiwi/Tongan husband and two mixed heritage kids. I had a Danish grandfather and a Scottish grandfather and lived in Pakistan for five years when I was a child. We have a son in New York and a daughter in Denver. Basically I'm a sedentary creature but I love my dogs and walk with them every day. Bridge is my recreation and reading my relaxation. We have two houses available for rent - one in Turangi and one in Rotorua - and they are both full of books that guests are welcome to borrow and return at their leisure.
