It's a Tiny House! I haven't decided to call it a cottage or a cabin, probably because it's a little of both...maybe I'll call it "The Goat Barn"! The story goes...four years ago, we built a barn for our three goats. They lived happily for a year until we found them a home where younger people would play with them.
Two years ago, I decided to convert my adorable little goat barn into this cozy cottage and this is what I'm presenting to my guests.

The space
The cottage/cabin/goat barn offers 2 rooms approx. 256 sq. ft. At the front door, you'll walk into the kitchenette, private room and a sitting space next to the window. The kitchenette offers a mini frig, small sink, microwave, electric outlets, 4 dishes, bowls, drinking glasses, silverware. There is a cabinet can hold dry goods. There are 2 fans in the cottage, and magnetic screen curtains on both doors so you can leave the doors open for a breeze.
Then you'll walk into the cozy, organized bedroom which goes out onto the back deck to enjoy summer evenings. There are little cubby closets built-in on both side of the bed for those who like to unpack their backpack/luggage.

There is an outside area under a tent where you'll find a Coleman cook stove grill. There is no cooking in the kitchen only a microwave to warm food. The outside cookstove will offer you a space to grill, boil water for pasta, rice, etc. I've provided two different sized pots and stainless steel skillet for cooking on the stove.

There is a shared main bathroom for showers in the main house. I ask that showers be quick, to be respectful to other guests and myself, there could possibly be 6 people, myself and guests waiting to use the shared shower, in the main bathroom.
This might not be a fit for everyone and I completely understand this.

Pets for those with allergies:

I have a little Schnoodle (hypoallergenic) named Bella and 2 cats... the black cat is Sacred and the orange cat (my daughters) named Pumpkin.

I appreciate your cooperation and hope you will have an enjoyable stay with us.

Please read OTHER NOTES

Other things to note
Please read:
The water in this area is sulfur water. This means it has a smell like rotten eggs. I've lived with sulfur water for 20 years so I'm kind of immune to the smell. It's been brought to my attention from my guests who aren't familiar with sulfur water and don't understand the smell. Sulfur water does not hurt us, it's good drinking water. I now provide bottled water for drinking in both of my listings. If this is not a good fit for you, I completely understand.

My daughter lives in a straw bale house that she built on the property. She's a singer-songwriter, so there's a possibility you could hear her practicing for a performance, not a whole band, but you could hear her singing and playing her guitar.

I love Ithaca! I love gardens! My passion is to garden, digging into our Earth, connecting, watching a seeds sprout, learning how to be one! I'm learning how to grow four seasons in my tunnel house. We have a half acre homestead where we explore growing our own food, building tiny "off the grid" spaces and I make my own soap, Herbs & Soap! I still have a bucket list of travel destinations, Alaska and Scotland but always to return home to the beautiful Finger Lakes of New York! I'm a Seeker, learning about spirit and energy. I love sitting under the stars, drumming around the fire circle. I love meeting new people, sharing, learning and accepting diversity! Ithaca is very eclectic, folks from all over the world have chosen to make Ithaca their home if only for a time, a reason and a season. We provide a warm, friendly atmosphere, hopefully, make you feel like family, making special memories for you to look back on.
