Come and enjoy a restful stay in the Gers countryside. We have a lovingly restored traditional farmhouse set in large grounds and with private pool and jacuzzi . We are in a small village between Trie sur Baise and Mielan, within easy travelling distance of many beautiful sights. Marciac (jazz festival), Mirande (country festival), Auch, Tarbes, Lourdes are all within easy reach as well as the Pyrenees.

The space
Our farmhouse has been restored to keep the charm and features of the original with the modern comforts to provide you with a luxurious stay in the rural countryside. We have a hectare of land, surrounded by countryside and with views of the Pyrenees.
Our double bedrooms have super kingsized beds (6'/180cm) and in the balcony room (bedroom 2) this can be converted to 2 single beds, just let us know beforehand which you prefer. The single bedroom has a separate, ground floor bathroom. We have a stock of books and DVD's - in English and French for you to use and you can watch English or French TV. There is free wifi throughout the house.

The 2 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom can be booked individually.
The house is occupied by the hosts in seperate quarters and the kitchen is available for breakfast which is included in the price. Lunch and dinner can be provided by the host at an additional cost - please ask!

Guest access
You have access to the shared lounge, summer kitchen, pool and jacuzzi. We live in a small apartment at one end of the property so are on hand to help and advise to make sure you get the most from your holiday. There is ample parking on site.

Other things to note
The area is very popular for cycling as we are near the Tour de France routes, and walkers have plenty of choice too.

Location

Castex, Occitanie, France

Our village has around 80 inhabitants, all are very friendly and in summer there is often something going on locally. There are many social events, dances, meals (of course) and vide grenier (car boot sales) advertised throughout the year and we are just 20 minutes away from Marciac for the Jazz festival held there each July/August.
There are lots of local restaurants that serve the local specialities at very reasonable prices but most are only open at lunch times. There are restaurants nearby that serve at night too.

We would love to meet you over a welcome drink and can advise you on the sights to see and places to eat if you wish. You will see us around - pool cleaning, gardening etc but you can have as much or as little contact as you like otherwise. We speak French and English so you can practice your skills on us if you wish!
