Perfect for your escape to the country, a self-contained annexe set in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is The Chilterns, yet only a short drive from London or Oxford. There is everything that you need, whether for overnight or a longer stay, with a well equipped kitchen. Come for the peace and quiet, admire the wildlife, explore the unspoiled countryside on foot or by bicycle or enjoy the wealth of top class local restaurants and tourist attractions.

The space
The accommodation is arranged as follows:
Large open-plan ground floor living area with kitchen and dining space and a shower room. The common area has a sofa bed that can sleep 2 people. On the mezzanine floor above is a king size bed. On the top floor is an adjacent suite , with shower room, kitchenette and one super kingsize or two single beds. There is a separate outside access to this suite should you wish to use it - perfect if two families are coming.
Outside, you have ample parking and a private garden in which to relax. There is also a lockable shed for your bikes or muddy walking boots.

Guest access
The annexe is for your sole use. There is a small private garden to rear of the annexe with table and chairs and a charcoal barbeque. Please feel free to look at the chickens and help yourself to apples from the orchard or take a walk in our field, but always close any gate behind you to keep animals in and dogs out! We are currently working to transform the garden to the rear of our house so for now would ask that you do not use it - thank you.

Location

Radnage, England, United Kingdom

This is a quiet hamlet of 6 houses, but a 10-minute walk brings you to the popular Mash Inn. The Sir Charles Napier restaurant is a 5 minute drive along the road or an easy walk away, and a popular family pub in Radnage. Popular with walkers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate unspoilt nature and the extensive network of paths and bridleways.
In our area there are a number of National Trust properties: Hughenden Manor, Clivedon, Hartwell House and Waddesdon Manor, the home of the Rothschild family, to name but a few. Oxford has many interesting museums and of course the colleges to visit. We are about 15 minutes away from Marlow and 30 minutes from Henley upon Thames. You can easily spend a day exploring these beautiful riverside towns, take a trip on the river or hire a boat and navigate the Thames yourself! Both Windsor Castle and Blenheim Palace are easy drives away.
If you have younger members in your party, how about a trip to Great Missenden to the Roald Dahl museum, the Harry Potter experience at Watford or a Go-Ape Tree Top Adventure in Wendover Woods?
These are just a few of the possibilities, but if you'd like to tell me about the things that interest you I may be able to recommend other places.

My husband and I have lived in this area for over 25 years after moving from London in search of space to raise our two daughters and live a country life. This we do - we have planted dozens of fruit trees and many hedges and our vegetable patch keeps us busy. We have 2 dogs that are a constant source of joy. Also, we have 11 chickens so eggs in some form generally feature in our daily diet! We built our house and the annex on this land in 2016-17 and not a day goes by when we are not pleased to be living here. When we can be tempted to leave, we love travelling, experiencing other cultures and meeting people. I hope to be able to welcome you here soon!
