The space
Update for 2020 season:
My house has always been clean and will continue to be so this year moving forward. For people who book with me, I would prefer folks who wear masks in local stores as recommended by businesses, taking customary and normal precautions in and around Cape as recommended. I am not wearing a mask in my home. Practical, responsible and fair minded approaches. I am pretty hip to what’s going on down here and will have any extra needed info for those stating with me. Any questions, please ask before booking. Thank you.

A Culinary Kitchen that has high end cooking equipment (Dual Convection Oven and Sous Vide, microwave, utensils, knives and cookware). Basic supplies available for use- oils, salts, seasonings and spices. In summer, an herb garden in the backyard has a variety of herbs for cooking.

Dining Room has a fine dining table, comfortable chairs and linens, cloth napkins, high end glassware for wines, beers and spirits.

Living room has comfortable couch and chairs with a wall mounted TV, Apple TV and multiple steaming sites. NO CABLE TV. Strong WiFi and tech savvy house with multiple Amazon Echo Dots available for use. And please, the living room is not for sleeping use/extra bedroom or for use as a dining room.

Guest bedroom has a simple bedroom set, ceiling fan, ample blankets and necessary items for a comfortable stay. Heat and AC when the season demands it.

Bathroom is bright, clean and has all necessary amenities with a strong water pressured shower.

Ample parking, a fire-pit and hammock greet you when you pull into the driveway. The backyard is nestled with an ample tree cover, beach sand and patio furniture, an herb garden, some solar night lights, tiki torches and an outdoor shower.

Guest access
Guests may use the backyard area for relaxing or dining as well as the outdoor shower. The hammock is also available for guests. The fire pit use is at the discretion of the owner in terms of weather conditions. Guests may not light and maintain the fire.- I will have to over see it as I live behind the fire department and the laws are quite strong with regard to yard use.

The living room and streaming TV with multiple channels available as well as a DVD player is available to guests; however, guests may not use the living room as an additional bedroom and sleeping on the couch is prohibited.

Guests are allowed to use the kitchen, but there is usually not a lot of food storage space in the refrigerator.

Other things to note
It is a quiet neighborhood so I would expect guests to maintain a respectful presence when staying here.

NO parties, loud music or outside guests are allowed on or inside the property. If you have a particular request that is not intrusive, feel free to ask me.

Location

Barnstable, Massachusetts, United States

I am located in the mid Cape area close to all public transportation and downtown Hyannis - the largest village on the Cape. I am one mile from Craigville beach and Covell's beaches (easy to walk to, bike or drive - note: summer beach parking is $20 a day from Memorial Day through Labor Day) this link should answer most question about Barnstable beaches:
https://townofbarnstable.us/Departments/Recreation/Beaches/Beach-and-Parking-Rules-and-Regulations.pdf

Public Buses run not far from my house to further areas of the Cape. Island ferries and airport are about 3 miles from my home.

I know of many great beach walks and hiking areas close to my home and all around the Cape. Plenty of restaurants, take out and delivery is available in my area as well as many supermarkets (Whole Foods and Trader Joe's also), department stores and more.

Any questions, feel free to ask!

During your stay
I am as available as you may need, but I will also respect your privacy during your stay. I know a lot about the Cape, beaches, places to visit, restaurants, hiking, biking, kayaking, outdoor events and much more. I am generally very active on the Cape and happy to help in anyway that I can. I do cook often and extensively so when I am home, I do spend a decent amount of time in the kitchen.
