Looking for the perfect location with a super-comfy and hip carriage house nestled in the trees? Very quiet spot, but near everything. Quick walk to Bardstown Road (city's best dining, nightlife & shopping as well as expansive Cherokee Park.
Unfortunately, we can no longer accept reservations for bachelor/bachelorette or any types of "college age" party groups.
This architect-inspired, two-story carriage house features soaring vaulted ceilings, custom leaded-glass windows, fully-equipped kitchen with pantry and dishwasher, as well as a 1st floor room laundry room with full-size washer and dryer.
Here is what is included: There is a room on the first level that has a queen size bunk bed with pull out trundle bed (3 beds total) with all new memory foam mattresses. (This room also has a washer/dryer). On the second level you will enjoy a full kitchen, balcony, large Living Room, private bedroom and full bath.
The entire carriage house is yours, with total privacy! The garage is used by the owner, via the alley-facing garage door and a back-yard side door, and not available to guests. But there is no access by anyone to the living space of the carriage house except you. You're able to park on the main street or right alongside your entry in the alley.
Interaction with guests
The place is yours and I respect your privacy first and foremost. It's possible that I will be out of town and that there may be no other guests, but not a guarantee. :) Regardless, I'm always a phone call away for tips, inside advice - and you'll also have the phone numbers for our "power team" for anything you need from our housekeeper and handy-guy house expert.
Other things to note
I've had an amazing response to the venture into sharing my awesome Carriage House - and have met some amazing folks in the process. Even those I don't get to meet personally - but who share their great experiences of my place and 'hood are super-rewarding. Our calendar has been pretty busy, so if you're looking at available dates - let me know how I can help you get confirmed.
Look forward to talking to you soon - and helping you plan an awesome visit to "the 'ville." Bob
Yep, I'm a big supporters of the Airbnb community - and am only interested in folks who feel the same way. Here are the most important:
1. Respect the Neighborhood
While you’re steps from all the action of Bardstown Road and “The Highlands,” our block is a residential neighborhood. It’s the kind of place where neighbors still visit on front porches and keep their windows open at night (on the good nights, of course). Our number of single family homes is much great than rental properties, so please keep that in mind when using outdoor spaces, including the front porch and back deck. When groups of more than four are outside, the back deck must be used (not the front porch). Noise levels, even before the 10pm cutoff, must be kept at a level not disturbing to neighbors. There should never be more guests than the number of paying guests with the reservation on the property - inside or outside. If the property will be used for a party of gathering of a larger number of visitors, prior approval is a must.
2. Outdoor Curfew: 10pm
Strict curfew for the neighborhood is to “bring it in” starting at 10pm latest. We’ve had multiple neighbors express the concern to all above (from a couple unruly groups), so want to be sure we’re respecting the hood.
3. Leave it the Way You Found It
This is actually a big one in the rental/vacation world … and a lot of folks don’t realize how important it is to do a few things prior to their departure. In fact, they’re tied to the security deposit with all the major services … I’ll definitely do the same when I come to your place - and your help is appreciated!
