On the Wild Atlantic Way a large seaside cottage in a tranquil setting less than a 10 minute drive from the village of Carraroe. It has views over Casla Bay to the Mortello Tower, the Aran Islands and the Clare coast. The house has been lovingly refurbished in recent years and has bright and comfortable living spaces. The original cottage has double height ceilings & a large wood burning stove for cosy nights in. The cottage makes an excellent base to explore Connemara and the Aran Islands.

The space
The house is a great base for exploring Connemara & the Aran Islands. There are two white sandy beaches a stones throw away and we also recommend a trip to Carraroe’s Coral Beach. You can enjoy many activities including walking, fishing, swimming, day trips or just being still. The house is a 50 minute drive on the Connemara coast road west of Galway City. The lovely seaside towns of Barna & Spiddal are 30-35 minute drive away. The port of Rossaveal to take the ferry to the Aran Islands is a 15 minute drive away.

Guest access
You have full use of the house excluding storage rooms on the first floor of the new extension.

I am a keen traveller who likes the finer things in life without costing the earth. I previously worked as a hotelier and this has allowed me to live in several European capitals. I always enjoy meeting new people and discovering the cultures of places I have been.
