Shankle Cove Waterfront Home
This home at 1924 Hwy 331 in West LaHave was built in the early 1900’s . It was in the past the Harbour Master’s home & Post Office. The CHARACTER that exists in this older river home remained. A great artistic eye & flare makes the home fun & whimsical from floor to ceilings, light fixtures to furniture & paintings within 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining/family room, living room, 2 baths, incl w/d. The space
Bring your kayaks, row boats, paddle boards, to enjoy water activities of your choice.
This home has such character, and is very fun for children with all the moose characters about :)

You have this whole 3 bedroom 2 bath VIEW home with a long driveway for yourselves, front covered verandah looking at the river, and 2 chairs on the waterfront side of the road, and patio on the back of the home with a BBQ.

Other things to note
We are 10 minutes east of Bridgewater which has all the stores and amenities you may need. We are 10 minutes west of the ferry to get to Lunenberg where the famous LaHave Bakery is located to enjoy while you wait. After you cross then 20 mins to Lunenberg, then Mahone Bay is the next center filled with art treasures. Crescent beach is 15 minutes to the east and south. Rissers Park is to the south of Crescent Beach.

Call Bev or John Thompson to stay at our lovely waterfront Cabin or semi-waterfront home on the Lahave River, in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is an absolutely stunning, breathtaking, and beautiful setting. We love this area. The people are friendly and outgoing and you will love your stay. Email me in advance with your schedule. You too will enjoy life while staying on the Lahave River in Nova Scotia. The cottage is a large 2 bedroom 1 bath home which exudes character. It is good for 3 adults or a family of 4 maximum. Enjoy the deck and grounds down to the wide river. Outdoor dining with a large BBQ is a must for your enjoyment. The privacy this property offers you is wonderful and the feeling you get is so serene and peaceful. If you want to get away from the city and the pollution, this is the place to come and enjoy a quiet week, or a few days during the week or on the weekend. It's only a 2 hour drive from the Halifax airport. We also have the larger home across the street 3 bd/2 bath for groups of 4 to 6. Do an instant book on the waterfront cabin or the semi-waterfront home to make sure you are able to save this spectacular getaway. We are pet friendly ;)
