Discover this unique Xisto stone village of only 30 homes, nestled in the central Portugal mountains. A beautiful piece of history preserved - comfortable and quiet as there are no permanent residents in the village - just the families who own and visit their properties to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountains.

The Xisto stone is unique to the area and some villages date back 900 years. Our chalé had been beautifully restored and the modern interior has every comfort you will need.

The space
This beautiful cottage has two floors, the upper level with open plan sitting area, fireplace and kitchenette, leading onto an open patio where you can relax with your morning coffee or evening drink. Downstairs is the bathroom and bedroom each with a door onto the courtyard, where the private sauna is located. So relax and unwind in the sauna, especially on colder winter's nights.

Guest access
The chalé is yours during your stay and the whole village is yours to explore too. The sauna on the bottom level is private and for your convenience, whilst you also get a key to the community hall which has a pool table and bar.

Other things to note
The village is safe and a great place to explore and you’re free to hike in the forests or even a morning stroll down to the neighboring village if you want more than to relax in this tranquil setting.
