Other things to note
In the event of a power outage we have provided flashlights located on top of the fridge for our guests. Two magnetized flashlights on top of the fridge. Also candles and giant plate to set the candles upon are in the closet. If there is a power outage wifi and cable will not work, nor will the landline phone in the suite. Sadly water will be unavailable until power is restored, which is why we have a 5 gallon jug of water on the porch, for flushing toilets. Guests are encouraged to take a drive, go for a walk or head to a local pub/restaurant, possibly visit our local rec center for a swim while waiting for the power outage to be fixed by BC Hydro. Power outages usually last between 4-6 hrs. We hope our guests understand that we are not able to anticipate, nor resolve, a power outage should one occur, and if we are not at home cannot do much to assist our guests. If we are home of course we'll do our best to help our guests. BC Hydro has a website that will list all areas affected by the outtage, the cause of the outtage and how long it will take to fix.
