Before even arriving, Nikolai, the 'driver' from the bus station charged us around €30 for a 10 minute journey - every other host provided this service for free. The 'host' (whose name I don't even know) was very averse to accommodating festival-goers. Fair enough, but we did state clearly in the first correspondence message that we were in Pula for that reason. We would have much preferred them to say no. The man was very cold and his rules on pool use were far too strict - even if we wouldn't have been presumed to be all-night partyers. The WiFi connection from our part of the complex was terrible, and the apartment was furnished and stocked to the bare minimum. Military-style beds, empty old fridge, etc. He even had the audacity to try and get us to pay a €100 deposit on arrival. On the profile, check-out is specified as 2pm, yet at 10am I received a phone call from my friend saying that the host was threatening to call the POLICE if we weren't out in 15 minutes. I was elsewhere at this point, so I called a private taxi and had my friend along with our hastily-packed luggage transported to another apartment, but not before the 'host' could charge my friend 100kn for missing towels. Towels which he subsequently found under a bed. In his defence, he did contact me and met us at the bus station to return the 100kn - 2 minutes before our bus was due to depart.
