From the host

The Eau Claire area (Calvin Township) is rural in nature; Peddlers is a paved road suitable for biking. There are plenty of hiking, snowshoeing, or mountain biking areas located nearby, including on our own 68 acres of land. Guided nature hikes or snowshoe outings are offered by the host, including night time excursions by snowshoe in the winter. Maxwell Pottery is located about 7 kms away. Pimisi Bay on the Mattawa River is a short drive west of Highway 630 on Hwy 17. From there you can easily access the Talon Chutes or paddle downstream on the Mattawa River and enjoy many sets of small rapids and swifts.
