A peaceful cabin, nestled in the forest, in the heart of the rocky mountains.

Surrounded by wetland and solitude, the cabin is a short drive from Glacier National Park, Kinbasket Lake, Quartz Creek, and the towns of Golden, and Revelstoke.

A haven for hikers and bikers alike, or simply those looking for a beautiful escape.

The cabin is 100% off grid, with full kitchen, beautiful timber framed shower house, and outhouse.

Access by foot, bike, or quad (host offers free pick ups/drop offs).

The space
This is truly a unique setting and experience. In the summer months you can explore the creek trail to try your hand at gold panning, the enchanted forest trail to discover where our beautiful mountain water comes from, or wander down to Beaver Point a short distance from the cabin to watch for wildlife. We have over 3 kms of trail so you can truly immerse yourself in the wilderness.

Trails are not maintained in the winter time, so bring your skis or snowshoes!

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need to cook or bake, including an array of spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sugar, and flour.

Local coffee and tea is provided, and there is even a Vitamix for those who start the day with a smoothie.

Golden (20 minutes away) and surrounding area are full of amazing recreational activities from mountain biking and hiking in the summer, to skiing and snowmobiling in the winter months.

We are the closest modern cabin to both Quartz Creek snowmobiling area and Rogers Pass.

Donald (only 5 minutes away) is the stepping stone to many lake and river fishing spots (too many to name) including ice fishing, hunting, and back country activities.

Donald is also the access to both Hope Creek and Chatter Creek snowmobiling areas.

Originally from Scotland, I fell in love with the mountains on a trip to Canada and made it my mission to move to BC.

Having lived in Western Canada for 16 years now. and been out here on the property for more than 12, I can honestly say it has been the most rewarding decision of my life.

Well, that was until I had my son!

My little fellow (now 2) and I spend our days repairing and caring for the structures we have out here, building, maintaining trails, fishing when time allows, and collecting firewood amongst many other things.

Our daily tasks unfold against the backdrop of deep wilderness, which allows us to learn about and spot any number of wild birds and animals as we go about our days.

The shift in seasons in the mountains is quite dramatic and with each season comes a fresh set of adventures and challenges, and ultimately rewards.

We decided to open up our home to visitors in no small part to share what has become a so deeply valued ongoing, intricate, and beautiful dialogue with the natural world.
