At "Half Moon Bay Hideaway" you will enjoy a large bedroom with a king-sized bed; the exclusive use of our lounge with TV; a private, sunny deck; a kitchenette with an automatic coffee machine; an outdoor BBQ; and a private bathroom and loo.

Half Moon Bay Marina lies a short walk away and offers restaurants, bars and amenities. Ferry (boat transport) terminals are situated near the complex and are your gateway to Waiheke Island, Rangitoto Island and the Auckland City Viaduct (CBD).

The space
Welcome to "Half Moon Bay Hideaway".

Your space is fit with a king-sized bed and spacious indoor and outdoor living areas. You have a private entrance to come and go at your leisure, and access to unlimited free Wi-Fi.
Your personal lounge features TV and boardgames, and your kitchenette boasts its own microwave, toaster, electric jug, state-of-the-art coffee machine and fridge.
You will have exclusive use of your own bathroom facilities, access to washing facilities and full use of the BBQ and BBQ area.

We want you to feel at home and enjoy your exclusive spaces, which are fully air conditioned/heated!

Your suite sits on the doorstep of the Ōhuiarangi / Pigeon Mountain reserve -- an archaeological site named after an ancient Ngāi Tai ancestress who lived here. It was once a great Māori pā. In Māori culture, a pā is a defensive, graduated settlement and demonstrates the mana (prestige/power) and strategic ability of an iwi (tribe). Pā are located around the rohe (territory) of an iwi to protect fertile plantation sites and food supplies.

Your space lies a pleasant 15-minute walk from the bustling Half Moon Bay Marina, which keeps sought-after restaurants, a grocery store and all the amenities you will need.

Enjoy the native pūkeko birds, who reside in the reserve. Feel free to feed them seed and grain bread. Rest assured, they are not loud and you will certainly have your best night's sleep on your king bed -- you're going to need it to tackle the days ahead of you sight-seeing about our legendary bays.

The Half Moon Bay Marina will serve as your gateway to Bucklands beach, and Waiheke Island, Rangitoto Island and the Auckland City Viaduct (Auckland CBD) by ferry (boat).

The ferry rides between you and the hub of Auckland City (40 minutes), and the beautiful Waiheke Island (45 minutes) are pleasant and not too dare.
Waiheke is famous for its restaurants, vineyards and relaxed atmosphere (highlighted by its absence of need for traffic lights).
Fullers operate the ferries to Rangitoto and Auckland CBD. Sealink operates the ferries to and from Waiheke. These are two seperate companies, but their two ports rest adjacent and are clearly signposted near the Marina.

Farm Cove provides a Rotary walkway and bike path -- it sits literally on your door-step. We encourage you to explore it and offer you free-use of 2 high-quality mountain bikes!

Easy going, intuitive, fun loving, professionals with keen sense of humour. There is nothing serious in our house-hold. We love to eat laugh and have fun but usually in bed fairly early as we work long days. We are down to earth kiwis with a spirit of adventure and a love of meeting new people. Respect, care and love of life is how we roll. You will have all the privacy you need but we will be here to help you with any needs or information. Come stay with us and learn about the Eastern bays.
