The space
This cabin was built with love using cedar and balsam milled from the property. Filled with natural light, high ceilings and windows, nestled in the trees. Fully appointed kitchen. Open concept living/dining area, with separate bedroom. Queen size bed, heated concrete floors throughout. Terra cotta concrete and wood kitchen counter tops. Inside shower/bathtub combination. Outside shower (with hot water) and surfboard storage area. Kerig, bodum and regular drip coffee machines (bring your favorite beans!). TV for dvd (no cable). Located between Chestermans Beach and Cox Bay (7-12min walk to either long sandy beach), Tofino's local surfing beaches.

Casita Tofino is located off the main highway, half way between Cox Bay and Chesterman's Beach down a privately shared road through the old-growth temperate rainforest near the long sandy beaches of Tofino.

We love this spot in the forest because it is peaceful and the forest is stunning yet it's a short walk or bike ride to the surf beaches at South Chesterman's or Cox's Bay.

The multi-use bicycle, pedestrian path is accessible from the end of our road leads you to the heart of downtown Tofino (about half hour one way on bike, 7 minute by car).

If you have water and sunscreen, it's a fun and beautiful ride (about an hour and half round trip depending on your bike and how fast you like to ride out to Long Beach on the bike path). Helmets are required.

For food anytime of the day and close to 'home' can be found at Pacific Sands Beach Resort (7-12) minute walk or 5 minutes on bike for take-out and sit outside by the gas fireplace under a palapa at the edge of Cox's Bay. Or be served in The Great Room at Long Beach Lodge on a rainy evening and watch the surfers out front. Both offer eating experiences without needing to go into town--although town is awesome too!

At the “Outer Break” Beaches Grocery (halfway between downtown and our place is a small complex with coffee and bake goods at Tofitian (15 min. on bike) and great food at Wildside Grill. There’s also a small convenience store called Beaches Grocery.

Half hour bike ride or 7 minute drive will get you downtown to lots of coffee shops and restaurants if you’d like more options.
