Neighbourhood highlights

Our neighbourhood is a small village where people walk more than they drive, everyone says hello, and anyone is made welcome. Crime is non existent, wildlife abounds, beaches are free and so are helpful directions and tips from locals.
The marina is a 5 minute walk down the road. If you would like to get off the beaten path, take the Michipicoten River path and walk along the river once highly travelled by voyageurs, fur traders, Ojibwa and Cree.

My work: Semi retired!
We were lucky to retire early and this house was our first retirement project. We did almost all of the renovations ourselves and 100% of the design and decorating. This was truly a passion project and we hope guests will enjoy the unique art filled atmosphere where colour and curiosity reign. We love to travel and we collect art everywhere we go and you can see it in this house. Our love of Lake Superior and the outdoors is evident as well and we look forward to sharing with guests the extraordinary beauty that is the rugged eastern shore. We love when guests put their feet up and relax by the fire in the winter or enjoy the waterfall and bay view in summer on the front veranda where it is likely they will view the resident bald eagles or the loon family. Welcome to our small corner of heaven on earth!
