Bright top floor unit, perfect for families or other groups. Located close to Commercial Drive, Trout Lake Park and Commercial/Broadway skytrain station, our location is convenient, fun for the kids, yet maintains a calm neighbourhood feel. We are a LGBTQ+ friendly household.

The space
Our home is a private, approximately 1200 square foot unit with three bedrooms, one bath and an en suite. One of the bedrooms is a nursery, which can accommodate a child in a crib or a queen sized air mattress (provided) on the ground. We have toys, stuffies and books available suitable for an older baby or toddler. You can watch a movie on our projector screen (laptop required). We have a foyer which is perfect for storing extra luggage or a stroller. We have a fully stocked kitchen and a private patio. We're still working on the yard, but in the summer, the backyard has an amazing, productive garden. We also have chickens, just to give you a little taste of real East Van living :)

We co-own our house with another family. Our house has two separate units (upper and lower floors). We occupy the upper floor unit. As such, friends-and-family fun is totally welcome, but parties are not. Please respect our neighbours.

We spent most of last year renovating, so the place is mostly new but you may notice a few bits of trim we haven't painted yet and things like that - but we promise it's really comfortable!

Note: Our home has not been fully baby-proofed.

We love our neighbourhood because it's very accessible to transit, close to amenities on Commercial Drive ("The Drive"), bike routes and the amazing Trout Lake Park where our kiddo can play at the playground or at the lake. We love hanging out on The Drive, eating at Tangent Cafe (Malaysian and pub fare with a great curated beer list), Storm Crow Tavern (self-described as a nerd bar) and Bandidas (great vegetarian option). There is a coffee shop, convenient store and a Subway restaurant a block away if you need something quick. There are good Vietnamese, Chinese, Italian and Korean restaurants also a block or two away. Trout Lake Park has a great farmer's market on Saturdays during the summer.
