Our sleeping cabins resemble lobster bait shacks similar to what you’ll see in PEI’s many fishing villages/harbours. They were lovingly handcrafted using Island White Cedar. They are rustic but cozy, comfortable yet basic. Located in a village setting close to all amenities, coffee shops and restaurants walking distance away. The Confederation Trail and Iles de la Madeleine Ferry(CTMA) are super close. Souris Beach is a 15min walk and other famous beaches are close drive away.Lic#2301155

The space
Our cabins measure 12 x 12 ft and include a double bed with duvet bedding made from sustainable cotton and hung out to dry, bath area with a shower stall, mini fridge and two chairs. Except for a few bath accessories there is no plastic. They are insulated, heated electrically and cooled only by an oscillating fan and two screened windows that allow the ocean breeze to flow through. A cathedral ceiling makes them feel airy and spacious.
There is no TV. Wifi in common area. Storage is limited to a shelf above the chairs and under the bed. There is no cooking possible but there are various options within walking distance.

We are a husband and wife team , both “from away” but settled in Souris in the North Eastern area of Prince Edward Island. We’ve restored and converted old buildings over the years and most recently we lovingly handcrafted cute, little, sleeping cabins in downtown Souris for visitors to or through our area. During the winter we love to travel through Europe.

During your stay
We live next door so we are always close by. We are also testing out platforms to promote our Sleeping Cabins. We are dedicating some for Airbnb travellers and others for tourists who reach us through our provincial tourism website under which we operate as “ShantyStay Accommodations “
