AWESOME!! Bucket list for children and adults. Spectacular pond side camping getaway. Our well equipped 27 foot Jayco fifth wheel is clean and cozy. Located next to the wilderness situated on Second Pond, bordering Brigus. For the ultimate camping experience with the convenience of some modern amenities. Yet only minutes from the convenience of downtown Brigus. I will be there to greet you and provide any information or perhaps a guided walk along the washed out cartroad to beautiful Brigus.

The space
The Old cartroad to Brigus is a great spot for a Heritage hike or hike the challenging Treasure Trail to Bull Cove. Enjoy the awesome vistas along our 1.5 kilometres of private gravel roads. Your firepit is ready to light. ATV lovers can use the railbed located just minutes from our site. For a small fee- We also have hand made hiking sticks, a BBQ, metal detector for the Treasure hunters. We want you to enjoy the best camping experience in some of the most beautiful and clean settings on earth. The pristine views and nature walks along the centuries old Brigus cartroads offer a chance to step back in time. The relocated settlement of Bull Cove hugging the cliffside provides an old world experience like no other. Total peace and tranquility as you walk the once bustling village of yesteryear. Enjoy the flora and fauna amongst impressive geology that exposes glacial striations, pillow lava, jointing and rusty cliff sides. Our narrow strip of geology is part of the Drook formation ( before the age of fossils at Mistaken Point ). It was created from the Holyrood Horst during the pre-cambrian age of Snowball Earth when the super continent Rodinia was breaking apart...among the first sediments in the history of planet earth to be deposited in an ocean that was oxygen rich. according to Dr. Martha Hickman Hild, author of "The Geology Of Newfoundland"

Guest access
You get full exclusive access to the RV and enjoy walking the associated gravel roads and ungroomed trails/cartroads.

I'm Paul Conway, Owner/operator...Married and father of two daughters and one son. Retired Industrial Arts teacher, facilitator and outdoor enthusiast. Since 2001 I have promoted trails and tourism to our historic settlements bordering Brigus. We have an ultimate outdoor camping/hiking experience available for you when you rent our pondside Recreation vehicle(Jayco Fifth Wheel) as a base for local exploring and easy walks along our private roads. Perhaps a hike along some of the oldest cartroads in North America or the rugged connecting paths leading to the seaside abandoned settlement of Bull Cove and all of the 10 km of Treasure trails of the 1600's. You will enjoy the Pirates stories of romance, battles lost and treasure forgotten as you travel the old roads to the past. You can travel the paths and old roads with or without a guide. I believe everyone should experience our second to none - awesome network of trails and the spectacular vistas only matched by the heritage of Conception Bay and those that came before us. It would be my privilege to be your host on what can be a life changing journey with some modern comforts and conveniences. Each of us will figure it out, some may need a little help or more time. We are all unique just like everyone else. Together we can get more things done.
